Revisiting Tulsa
In July, a judge in Oklahoma threw out a lawsuit seeking reparations for survivors and descendants of victims of the Tulsa Race Massacre.
The riot, which resulted in at least 300 deaths and extensive property damage, happened in 1921. Though it happened more than 100 years ago the community continues to reconcile. The latest court ruling is one small part of a long process.
Two years ago I visited Tulsa as part of my “America In Transition” series.
