Natural Tension

Sa Pa, in the northwest of Vietnam, is known for its natural beauty.

But there is a tension that exists between rapidly expanding development, the need to protect the environment, and sharing the economic benefits of growth with the local population.

They are issues that all of Vietnam must deal with as the nation’s economy continues to expand and modernize.
