Winter Hydrangea

Over the past few summers I have tried to surround my cottage style home with hydrangeas.

They not only pair well with the architectural style of the house, but they are easy to maintain, offer blooms and color all summer long, and visual interest in the fall and through the winter, until you finally decide to trim off the dormant flowers from last season.

I thought they would make for an interesting still life study.
