The pandemic is still effecting world travel so in 2022 I stayed mostly close to home, but I did spend one week just to the north of New England traveling along the St. Lawrence River between Montreal and Quebec city.
I hadn’t been to either place since summer vacations with my family when I was in elementary and high school. I had no clear memories to compare things to so as a practical matter this trip created my first impressions of each city.
