At the Border

All along the border between Texas and Mexico you will find dirt roads like this one used by the Border Patrol to police the wall.

The mountains and desert landscape are a natural obstruction to anyone trying to slip past official border crossings. The low scrub leaves nowhere to hide. It is a daily game of hide and seek between a well equipped force of thousands, against small groups of immigrants trying to scramble into the United States with only what they can carry. And it all plays out in this largely open terrain.
