An Ordinary Place

I have often seen the black and white photos of the moments following the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr., but to visit the scene of the crime brings home how current those old photos actually are.

The Lorraine Motel, in Memphis, is now a civil rights museum. But the motel itself has been preserved as it was the day of the shooting. What struck me is how ordinary it is.
