Running History in Manchester

A woman made history at this year’s road race in Manchester, Connecticut on Thanksgiving morning.

Weini Kelati, an Eritrean who became a U.S. citizen this year, broke the women’s record and came in 18th over all, perhaps proving it is possible for a woman to win a race of this distance outright.

Kelati is only the latest to make her mark at one of the most important New England running events on the calendar: The Manchester Road Race.
