Boxing in Hartford

Coming soon to a theatre near you; a film about Connecticut boxing legend Willie Pep.

The film will star James Madio in the role of Pep. It is being produced by Leonardo DiCaprio. Pep, the two-time featherweight champion, died in 2006.

Hartford has a rich boxing tradition and it carries on almost daily in the Parkville section at the Charter Oak Boxing Academy.
