Over New England
I usually reserve my use of a drone to collect video, but in late summer I decided to use it to take still photos of the southern New England landscape.
I set out specifically to capture the billowing clouds that often roll over the countryside at this time of year.
Although the first sign of fall, the dropping of a few brown, dried, and crinkled leaves begins in late August, the trees of southern New England are bursting with green at this time of year. You can see the foliage about to explode into color. There is no place left to go.
From a vantage point a few hundred feet above the ground you can see that even though we consider this part of the country to be densely populated, most of it is taken over by nature. Even to farm the land requires a never-ending battle at the edges.
