Crosswalk
This is the main avenue through the center of Claremont, New Hampshire.
It’s a medium sized northeast city with architectural bones dating back to the early 1900s and before. It is a city in transition, from an industrial past to an unknown future. Small retailers hang on in the shadow of the old Sears, Roebuck store.
It is easy to lose faith in a place like this. It is easy to think the vibrance of the past will never return. It is just as easy to think that some day this city will find a new purpose and come to life again.
That’s how I choose to see it. I see nothing but optimism here.
