Time

The desert moves in slow motion.

Incredibly slow. Millions of years to achieve imperceptible change.

One day the sand dune in the foreground may be the rock formation in the background. One day the layer on the top might be toward the bottom, or buried altogether. Someday it might all be under water. But we won’t be here to see that.
