Risking It All
More than two dozen people have died in anti-government protests in Santiago, Chile since the movement began about six months ago.
Near a bus station downtown a wall facing the street has been turned into a memorial to those who have been killed or arrested. People stop and study the names, the pictures, and the street art that is a record of Santiago’s recent history of demonstration and activism.
No effort is made by the government to take it down because it would be quickly replaced.
