Don't Cry for Me...

One of the most famous balconies in all of Buenos Aires is at the Pink House in Plaza de Mayo. It is where the president has his office and it’s where Juan and Eva Peron used to address crowds during Juan’s first period as president.

The former first lady is still worshipped here and her very large image - holding an old fashioned microphone - is one of the first things you see on the side of a government building when driving into downtown.

Throughout the city there are much smaller balconies on apartment buildings of lesser note, but they all evoke the image of Evita.
