The Boxing Community

Coming up on Monday I’ll be posting one of my longest photo essays ever. The story is about the Charter Oak Boxing Academy in Hartford, Connecticut.

It is mainly an after-school program, but once you are a member you are a member for life. The result is a multi-generational community centered on boxing and housed in an unlikely location, in what we think is a former garage, on the outskirts of the city.
