Barber Shop

I have found myself taking lots of pictures of barbershops on this trip. No matter where I am the scene inside a barbershop is symbolic of daily life and is a story everyone can understand.

I like this photo a lot because it is so raw. Yes, this is a barbershop and the customer is getting a shave and a haircut, but it is a barbershop that is stripped down to its essentials. I don’t think it even had doors to close up at night.

This was in a small town in India between Agra and Jaipur.
