Darjeeling - A Longer Look
Between the major cities of Kolkata and Mumbai I took a few days to visit rural Darjeeling in the north east of India. It is where the tea comes from.
Surprisingly, even though Darjeeling is high in the hills and hundreds of miles from the worst pollution in India, in Delhi, the air quality is still poor on a regular basis. But the way of life is more laid back and it is a comfortable place to relax away from the intense life in Indian cities.
