Dance Party

The day I chose to visit Da Nang it rained hard all day.

I was wearing a rain coat, but as I was crossing the Dragon Bridge over the Han River a young woman stopped her motor scooter and gave me a spare poncho. I told her I was all set, but she insisted. I’m glad I took it because it was longer than my jacket and kept me that much drier than I would have been without it.

While I was walking around the city I ran into these high school aged kids under a highway overpass staging a dance party. They weren’t just randomly dancing they were choreographing a routine. A smaller group was doing the same nearby.

I’m not sure how long they stayed, but they were trying to wait out the rain before getting back on the road with their scooters.
