The Leaning Tower
I admit it. When in a city taking photographs I tend to look up.
Even when I come to town intent on taking pictures of people on the street. I look up.
But sometimes, it’s worth it. I think I am attracted to using the blue sky as a canvas. I think I see the composition of the main subject as an act of placing an object on a canvas in a particular way.
This narrow glass and concrete high rise overlooking the Highline and the Meatpacking District of New York, leans to one side, because of my angle of view, and the ropes hanging from the rooftop seem to be holding it place.
